Divorce
Divorce is life changing and it presents challenges. Ending a commitment that began with hope and promise can take an emotional toll on couples and their children. You must make vital decisions about your children’s care and custody, including how you will financially support them. Decisions must be made regarding your house. Will you sell it or will it remain a home for one spouse and the children? If you feel attached to your property, dividing things up can seem unsettling or even overwhelming. On top of these factors, you’re in the legal system, a system that is unfamiliar and full of confusing jargon.
The good news is: we care about you and we can help get you through this tough time. Our legal skills, our compassion, our respect and our sincere desire to help are on your side. Our family law attorney will work with you to overcome your divorce challenges.
Family Law Attorney
Your Family.
Your Life.
Many people’s lives revolve around family, and while divorce is one aspect of family law, there are also other aspects to consider. Prior to marriage, you and your prospective spouse may decide you want to set boundaries for the property you are both bringing into the relationship. We can help you devise a premarital agreement.
If domestic violence becomes an issue in your relationship, you may need a protective order to keep you safe. Wills and probate are also family matters, and we can help you with powers of attorney, living wills or handle probate for your estate.
On the brighter side, perhaps you and your spouse are looking to adopt a child. We can set up the legal structure for you to welcome this new member into your family.

Thomas Little
My life was full of diverse experiences before settling into the practice of law. After growing up in Kilgore, Texas, I attended Texas A&M, where I played football as the 12th Man on the kickoff team for 3 seasons. I received my B.A. degree in Political Science. After working one legislative session in the Chief Clerk’s Office of the Texas House of Representatives, I enlisted in the Infantry in the Army. I was selected to go to Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as an Armor Officer. I served our country, was stationed in Germany, and completed one deployment to Kosovo as a tank platoon commander reaching the rank of Captain prior to my honorable discharge.
After leaving the Army, I felt drawn to pursue a career in the business world. I earned my MBA from Texas A&M and then became a licensed project management professional while working for a Big Four consulting firm.
While I have always had a zest for life, I still had not found my niche, and my life took another direction when I discovered I had a passion for practicing law. I used the GI Bill to earn my law degree from St. Mary’s University School of law and became a trained mediator.
I’ve lived an exciting and storied life with highlights that include playing college football, jumping out of airplanes at the U.S. Army Airborne School and traveling around the world. I ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain; attended the Oktoberfest three consecutive times in Munich, Germany; and have been scuba diving around the world in the Adriatic Sea, the Red Sea, the Bali Sea, the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean. Now most of my free time is spent being a full-time father, becoming an expert level Disney World traveler and coaching youth sports.
